Reconditioning an engine normally doesn’t take more than two weeks due to the thorough process of disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling various complex parts. Occasionally, unexpected issues like part wear or damage can arise, requiring extra time to address properly to ensure your engine runs smoothly and reliably.

Its better we show you rather than explain…

Below are example reports from professional garages which you can expect to receive in one form or another.

The warranty provided by Engine Union covers specific aspects of the reconditioned engines and services:

  1. Duration and Scope: The warranty typically lasts for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, covering parts and labor for any mechanical faults in the engine block, cylinder head, and internal components.

  2. Exclusions: The warranty does not cover external parts like the water pump, diesel pump, timing components, or other auxiliary units attached to the engine. It also excludes damages due to misuse, accidents, or lack of proper maintenance.

  3. Maintenance Requirement: Regular maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, including interim services after 500 and 8,000 miles, is mandatory. Failure to adhere to these requirements can void the warranty.

  4. Claims Process: In case of a fault, you must contact your supplier promptly, provide full service records, and return the vehicle to them for inspection and repair.

  5. Limitations: The warranty doesn’t cover incidental costs like hire cars, and the liability is limited to the value of the invoice. Additionally, it doesn’t cover failures due to external factors like accidents or improper use.

  6. Non-Transferability: The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred if the vehicle is sold.

  7. Heat Tabs: Some engines may have heat tabs; if these indicate overheating or are tampered with, the warranty is void.

In summary, the warranty primarily covers the reconditioned engine for mechanical faults under normal usage and maintenance conditions, with specific exclusions and requirements for maintaining its validity.
